Alexandra Forbes Kerry is the daughter of Sen. John Kerry, a one-time presidential hopeful. She has been charged for DUI in Hollywood, CA., reports Los Angeles police.

Officers say they stopped Alexandra Kerry, 36, at about 12:40 a.m. on Thursday morning under suspicion of being under the influence.

A sobriety test performed on Kerry responded positive, and the upcoming actress was arrested for DUI.

She was released on $5,000 bail approximately 5 hours later, just before 6 a.m., reports AP.

At the time of her sobriety test, Kerry reportedly had a Blood Alcohol level of 0.06 percent.

Alexandra is the eldest child of Sen. John Kerry. She is an aspiring film producer and director, and has done some acting. Her younger sister is Vanessa, and both girls were from Sen. Kerry's first marriage, which ended in divorce in 1988.

Kerry raised eyebrows at the height of her father's unsuccessful campaign for president in 2004 with an appearance in a see-through gown on the red-carpet at the Cannes film festival. Her short film, "The Last Full Measure," premiered that year.
